Der Vorspann und der Prolog
Zu der 5. Staffel wurde der Vorspann komplett neu gedreht. Einige Szenen (JT, Mark & Brendan) wurde der gleiche Szene neu verfilmt. Andere (Al & Karen) wurden abgeändert. Grund war sicherlich die körperliche Entwicklung der jugendlichen Schauspieler. Ein Vorspann mit ihnen als Kind wäre unpassen gewesen.

In der ersten Staffel nur vereinzelt, ab der zweiten Staffel durchgängig verwendet wurde der Prolog. Der Prolog ist eine kurze Szene noch vor dem Vorspann und beinhaltet bereits einen Gag. Dieser ist manchmal inhaltsbezogen ein Aufhänger, manchmal nur ein Lacher. Auch die Länge ist unterschiedlich. Dieses Stilmittel ist typisch für amerikanische Sitcoms.

Eine Ausnahme bildet die sechste Staffel. In dieser wird auf den Vorspann völlig verzichtet und nur die Namen der Schauspieler eingeblendet. Folglich gibt es auch kein direkten Prolog.
